William Herman Potstock
In my searching, I couldn't find much about this composer. I will add to this page as I learn more.
William Herman Potstock, though I also found him under Wilhelm Hermann Potstock, was born in northern Germany October 12, 1872. His parents were Herman and Martha and the family immigrated to the United States in 1881. He married Martha Bock in 1895 and they had two children, Stella (1896) and Eugene (1901-1979). Stella also became a musician. William was a self-employed music teacher and performer in Chicago. He is most famous for his op. 15 “Souvenir De Sarasate ”, which combines various techniques including left-hand pizzicato and double stops. He died in Chicago, Illinois, Oct 18, 1940.
